Rian J-1 Alumni

Since 2017, our J-1 Alumni Network, which now has over 1200 members, has helped J-1 exchange visitors stay connected with Rian, supported professional networking, and kept visa program alumni connected to each other. This also encourages them to create a LinkedIn profile, which helps them in their search for a visa program internship, and, of course, in career development after their visa program.

Besides “networking,” the Rian J-1 Alumni Network helps with sharing tips regarding:

  • internship searches
  • supporting those about to commence the J-1 program
  • supporting those who have completed the program and are returning home

We encourage all of our exchange visitors to sign up to be a part of the network, and we encourage all those who have returned home to attend our alumni events.

With support from the Irish Government’s Department of Foreign Affairs and Trade Emigrant Support Program, we have now hosted three annual J-1 Alumni Network events in Ireland, most recently in November 2019 at the Boston College Ireland in Dublin. Panelists at that event were from the Irish Government’s Department of Foreign Affairs and Trade (DFAT), LinkedIn, and CrossCare.

Any new Rian J-1 visa program applicant, current J-1 visa holder, or past visa holder can connect with Rian J-1 Alumni Network.
